AAP is only hope in Punjab: Kejriwal

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday termed his own party — Aam Aadmi Party — as the only hope left for the people of Punjab in the upcoming elections in the state.

“Punjab wants change. The only hope is the Aam Aadmi Party. See you tomorrow at Amritsar,” the chief minister tweeted in Punjabi, specifically targeting the Punjabi speaking populace.

In last polls held in 2017, the newcomer AAP fared well and was able to secure 20 out of 117 Assembly seats, however, poll pundits still believe their performance was below expectations as they had won 4 Lok Sabha seats in 2014 from the state.
