Bairaich (UP): Mystery shrouded the death of a 40-year-old advocate in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, the police said. The lawyer identified as Intezaar-ul-Haq was found dead at his residence. The wife of Haq said that he may have been murdered.
According to superintendent of police Keshav Kumar Chaudhary, his wife, a resident of Jameel Colony, informed the police that when she got up in the morning, she found her husband lying dead. The family members of the lawyer said that they police questioned their neighbours. The police registered a case and began an investigation into the case.
A report from Lucknow says, a 30-year-old lawyer Nasir Monsoor who jumped into the Gomti river three days ago remained untraced. A team of the State Disaster Relief and the police searched for his body but they could not find it. According to reports, the lawyer was to get married next month. Neither his family members nor the police could say anything about the reasons for his taking such an extreme step.
