Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav collapsed and took his last breath on Monday. He passed away after dealing with an incessant illness on a Monday morning at a hospital in Gurugram. The 82-year-old Yadav had been hospitalized for more than two months.
The last rituals and the cremation of the former Uttar Pradesh CM and will take place starting 3pm today in Saifai village of Etawah district in Uttar Pradesh. Mulayam’s son Akhilesh Yadav and Dharmendra Yadav who is the former MP of UP are the close family members to attend the ceremony.
Mulayam has earned great respect from the people of Uttar Pradesh. During his political career, he has been elected an MLA 10 times and an MP seven times in his stint. He also worked as the defence minister and Chief Minister of UP. He also prepared to appear for the prime minister’s post briefly.
His mortal remains were brought home on Monday evening. Reportedly, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the Saifai village and paid his tribute to Yadav. He also paid floral tributes on behalf of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel.
Mulayam Singh Yadav was born on November 22, 1939, in UP district and worked in politics emerging as a socialist leader. The Samajwadi Party was founded by him in the year 1992.
