New Delhi: A law-maker of the Aam Aadmi Party Amanatullah Khan was granted bail in connection with alleged irregularities at the Delhi Waqf Board. The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) is probing the case. A special judge of Rouse Avenue Court Vikas Dhull set Wednesday to pronounce the order on Khan’s bail application after hearing the pleas of both the parties.

Khan, arrested on September 16, was remanded in 14-day judicial custody on Monday. ACB officials said that the first FIR in connection with the case was registered in January 2020. The ACB officials summoned the legislator on September 16 this year. The ACB sleuths also conducted raids at four places linked with the law-maker and seized incriminating documents in connection with the irregularities.

Official sources said that Khan had also misappropriated the funds of the Delhi Waqf Board. A sum of Rs 24 lakh was confiscated during the raids at four places, besides two illegal and unlicensed weapons and cartridges, sources further said.
