The much-loved technology brand in an initiative to make its products in India will soon begin manufacturing the latest iPhone 14 in the country. As per news reports, the Made-in-India iPhone 14 new model will start its sales to local customers in the upcoming days.
Apple recently launched this year’s iPhone on September 7, 2022. The phones launched in this series range from iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max and the all-new iPhone 14 Plus.
New iPhone handsets will come to retail stores from Foxconn’s Sriperumbudur facility which is set up on the outskirts of Chennai. Foxconn is the biggest contractor in electronics manufacturing.
Apple had started local production of iPhones in India from 2017 onwards starting with iPhone SE and now, iPhone 14.The brand is ecstatic to be manufacturing the iPhone 14 series in India. With the Apple iPohne 14 series, the brand has introduced pathbreaking technologies and security capabilities.”
India has a huge demand for electronics and Apple has seen a close to double the revenue in the previous quarter. There are also rumours that more than a quarter of the products will now be manufactured outside of China in other parts of the World including India. The brand has been heavily investing to increase sales and demand in India which is the Globe’s second-largest market for smartphones. As compared to other rival brands, Apple had a low share of 3.8% in Indian market till about last year. With the new manufacturing strategy, Apple plans to grow its market size.
