Sitapur (UP): Scolding a student for fighting with a classmate has cost dear to the principal of a private school in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. The angry student shot the principal who was admitted to a hospital in Lucknow, the police said. Principal of Adarsh Ramswaroop Inter College under Sadarpur police station in Biswan Tehsil, Ram Singh Verma, was shot twice.
After the student had an altercation with a classmate, Verma scolded him. That enraged the accused Gurinder Singh so much that he shot at Verma, said additional superintendent of police NP Singh. The incident was recorded in a CCTV camera. The student who committed the crime was at large and the police launched a search for him.
The incidents of crime in Uttar Pradesh have shot up in the past few months, although the state government led by Yogi Adityanath, claims that they have been able to stop such incidents in the state.
