New Delhi/Ayodhya: Ayodhya temple may open to the public in December next year for Darshan of Ram Lalla, according to senior officials of the temple construction committee. For that reason, the construction of a pilgrimage facilitation centre is going on in the temple compound, they said on Tuesday.  

The office of the chairman of the construction committee Nripendra Mishra issued a statement on Tuesday saying that the construction work was going on according to the plan, and the devotees would have the opportunity to worship Ram Lalla in December next year.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, responsible for construction of the temple, said that a sum of Rs 1,800 crore would be spent on the structure. According to reports, the idols of prominent Hindu saints and the main characters of the Ramayana would be made of stones on the temple complex. The construction is likely to complete by December next year, they said.
