Pratapgarh (Uttar Pradesh): Pushing an under-construction wall of an engineering college by Samajwadi Party legislator RK Verma to check its strength has become a major issue. Verma, however, said that poor quality material was used for the work, so the wall could not withstand a minor push. The incident took place when Verma was inspecting an under-construction engineering college in Pratapgarh last week. As he pushed the wall it caved in.  The manager of Amarontrans Infotech Noida firm, which has been assigned the job of constructing the college building, filed a case against Verma on Saturday night.

The complaint consisted of the names of six identified. The firm said that the supporters of the legislator have been booked in the case. The manager of Amarontrans Infotech alleged that the MLA had reached Shivsat village of Raniganj assembly constituency in seven vehicles to inspect the under-construction college, and demolished one of its walls. The incident came to light after a video went viral on social media.
