Deoria: Love defies even the barrier of familial ties. This is what happened in a village in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. A 30-year-old man and his niece fell in love. As time rolled by, their relationship deepened, and they wanted to get spliced from each other, but that was not to happen. Their family members said it was impossible to allow such a relationship. When their family members vehemently objected to it, they committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance.

Circle Officer of the Barhaj area in the district Pancham Lal said Sachin had fallen in love with his niece Soni, but their family members were opposed to their relationship.
Fed up with the family’s opposition to their love affair, Sachin on Sunday called Soni to a farmland where both of them consumed pesticide, the police said. Their family members said that they wanted to tie the knot in their next birth, so they committed suicide.
