Lucknow: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has decided to transfer the money for buying school uniforms and other items to the accounts of the parents for the academic session 2022-23. This will be done for the students of government primary schools and for those of the government schools from classes one to 8, an official said.

Adityanath took the decision at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday. The items, for which the money will be sent to the parents’ bank accounts, include sweaters, socks, shoes, school bags and stationery. The amount of money to be transferred to the accounts has not been disclosed, but the cabinet authorised the Chief Minister to take decisions on any change in rates in future.
