Budaun: The police have registered an FIR against a law-maker of the Samajwadi Party from Bisauli constituency in Budaun, Ashutosh Shukla, for beating up a power department’s employee and for tearing office register in Budaun district of Uttar Pradesh. When there was a major power cut on Wednesday, Shukla and his supporters reached the power station and assaulted an employee Abhishek Mishra posted there.

According to reports, the legislator and his supporters also damaged the official documents. The incident came to light when a video of the incident went viral on social media. The statements of the accused and those of the victim were recorded, said senior superintendent of police OP Singh. On the grounds of the video and the facts a chargesheet has been filed in the court.
