Two boys violate their minor adopted sister in UP’s Kanpur

Date:

Kanpur (UP): This is the story of a 16-year-old girl from Banda. She lost her mother in 2013. Before her mother’s death she, with her two sisters, was under the care of her mother as her father had abandoned them. She had to live in an orphanage. A family in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh adopted her. Two brothers of the family repeatedly raped the ‘adopted girl’ as well as made obscene video clip of her. Both the brothers threatened her saying if she did not keep her mouth shut, they would make the video viral on social media, the police said on Wednesday.

When the girl lodged a complaint about her ordeals and the police probed the case, it came to light that the family adopted her from the orphanage without completing any legal formalities. Her maternal relatives sent her to the orphanage, she said. When the administrators of the orphanage handed over the girl to a businessman who lives near Kanpur Nala Road, she was five-year-old.  The girl will be brought to the Child Welfare Committee and taken to a hospital, the police further said.
