Saharanpur: The police slapped an FIR against two former Members of the UP Legislative Council belonging to the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for grabbing a plot of land of a woman and threatening her with dire consequences, official sources said on Saturday. Iqbal’s three sons and lawyer have been accused of gangraping the woman in the FIR. The lawyer Zeeshan was arrested. The three sons of Iqbal Javed, Alishan, Afzal and his brother have already been sent to jail.

According to senior superintendent of police Saharanpur Vipin Tada, the police took action after the woman lodged a complained that she had bought a piece of land in Mirzapur in 2011. Nevertheless, Iqbal and his brother and sons grabbed her land in 2012. After that, the woman was gangraped by the family members of Iqbal several times. Iqbal is at large, Tada said, adding that the woman was shifted to a village in Yamunagar.
