Baby stolen from LLRM Hospital in Meerut

Meerut (UP): A youth posing as an employee allegedly stole a new-born from Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Hospital in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, the police said on Wednesday. A man Neeru complained to the police said that his wife Dolly had given birth to a child at the hospital. The youth who became friends with him said that one of his relatives was admitted to the hospital.

The next day, when the youth said that the baby had to be vaccinated, Dolly handed over the baby to the youth.  When the youth did not return even after an hour, Neeru began to search for the baby.  Neeru lodged a complaint against the unidentified youth at the police station. The police are scanning the CCTV footage to get to the youth and rescue the baby.
