Ministry of Railways has issued new guidelines regarding Shramik Special trains

New Delhi: Shramik Special trains are being run to take migrant laborers, students, devotees and tourists stranded in other states due to the lockdown. In such a situation, many types of news were coming about these trains, after which the Ministry of Railways has issued some guidelines on Sunday about special trains.

The Ministry of Railways says that train tickets will be printed according to the number of passengers given by the state as per the destination specified for operating Shramik Special trains. Travelers can take a ticket from a local official of the state government. Passengers will pay the ticket money to the local official. The local officer will collect the fare from the passengers and give it to the railway.

What are the directions to travel?

  • It will be mandatory for all passengers to wear face masks.
  • One time meal in trains traveling more than 12 hours will be provided by the Railways.
  • Administration at the original state station will ensure that the passenger travels on the train only after the state government gets the approval and ticket to travel. Passengers will be allowed to board the train after screening.
  • Passengers will be screened again by the administration after arriving at the specified destination.
  • Social distancing will be followed in railway stations and trains.
