The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to allow the premises of Mumbai’s famous cricket stadium, Wankhede to the civic officials so that it can be made into a temporary facility for house emergency BMC staff from the A ward and quarantine high-risk contacts of positive patients.
During this crisis times, the MCA plans to support the government officials the best way possible to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Recently, BMC is contacting gymnasiums, clubs, marriage halls, dormitories at schools and colleges, hotels and lodges and grounds to convert them into a temporary facility for coronavirus patients in keeping them in isolation and providing them with the proper care.
At Wankhede Stadium, spaces with all required facilities of ventilation, bathroom etc. will be made into quarantine facilities temporarily.
