Mumbai Police issued guidelines for new year celebration

Mumbai: Appealing to celebrate the New Year with simplicity this time due to Corona restrictions, Mumbai Police has issued guidelines regarding New Year. After these guidelines of Mumbai Police, like other states and cities, there will be many restrictions on celebrations of New Year this time in Mumbai.

Mumbai Police spokesman, DCP S. Chaitanya said that, “Every time on the occasion of New Year people gather to celebrate. Given the Corona epidemic, this time people will not be able to gather. This time people have not been allowed to do any kind of party on the occasion of New Year.

The Mumbai Police, however, imposed a night curfew in the city before Christmas, which would also apply to New Year’s Eve. Night curfew is in force from 11 am to 6 am in Mumbai. But people can move around in the car. Only 4 people can travel in a car. The Mumbai Police has also enforced Section 144 in many areas under which prohibition of more than 5 people in one place. However, people associated with Essential Services will be allowed to come.

According to the guidelines, this year, people will not be able to gather at Mumbai Beach or Gateway of India. Boat parties, roof tops, terraces, bars, pubs, restaurants are also not allowed for the party and everyone has been asked to close the place by 11 pm.
