Vivo is preparing to launch the X60 series of phones in China with the company teasing the forthcoming X60 and X60 Pro phones several times over the last few days. The phones have recently been seen in leaked benchmarks and pictures and are good to launch by the company later in the day.
The two phones will be part of the company X60 series of flagships, replacing the current X50 series of phones launched before in the year. While there is no data available on the gadget’s availability, they are required to go on sale one month from now.
Vivo X60 series: Expected specifications
- The Vivo X60 series is tipped to bring two new phones, the X60 and X60 Pro.
- Ahead of the launch, live images of the devices have surfaced on Weibo showing the Vivo X60 to come with a flat panel with a top-centred punch-hole for the device’s selfie lens.
- The Vivo X60 Pro, on the other hand, is shown to get a curved display which also comes with a centrally-aligned punch-hole camera. The leaks also reveal that the phones will come with AMOLED displays that feature very little in terms of bezels around them.
- The phones come with three cameras on the back of the X60 while the Vivo X60 Pro will come with a quad-camera setup.
Talking about the cameras:
- Rumours Said that the X60 would get a primary 48-megapixel camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide, and a 13-megapixel portrait lens.
- In comparison, the Vivo X60 Pro will get four cameras of which three will be same as the Vivo X60, but the fourth will be an 8-megapixel periscope zoom lens offering 5x Optical Zoom and up to 60x digital zoom.
- The two phones will also come with camera setups with ZEISS branded cameras for better overall performance.
- The leaked images also show that the bottom part of the handsets includes a SIM-tray, microphone, USB Type-C port, and speaker grille.
- Of the two, the X60 Pro is said to be equipped with a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with support for up to Full HD+ resolution.
- The display is also said to come with a punch-hole and curved edges.
Earlier, the phone maker confirmed that the device would come with the upcoming Exynos 1080 chipset. The chipset has already been announced, with Samsung revealing that it has been manufactured using the 5nm EUV FinFET process. This new chip houses an octa-core CPU backed by powerful Cortex-A78 cores and gets the Mali-G78 GPU for games.
