Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state government’s ‘Trace, Test and Treat’ policy is proving successful in the prevention of corona infection in the state. Due to the steady decrease in the positivity rate and the continuous increase in the recovery rate, there has been a rapid decrease in the cases of Covid infection in the state. In view of this, partial corona curfew has been relaxed in 61 districts with less than 600 active cases of corona infection from 7:00 am today, June 01, 2021. In Lakhimpur Kheri, Jaunpur and Ghazipur districts also, the cases of corona infection have come down to less than 600. In these districts, partial corona curfew will be relaxed from 7:00 am on June 02, 2021 tomorrow. With this, the number of districts exempted from partial corona curfew will increase to 64. All other related rules including night and weekly closure will be effective in these districts also.
The Chief Minister was reviewing the situation of Covid-19 in the state in a high level meeting convened through virtual medium today. He said that if the active cases of corona in any district, in which exemption from partial corona curfew is being given, exceeds 600, then the exemption given in the concerned district will be terminated and all the permissible activities will be banned again. In the districts where the number of active cases of corona is more than 600, no exemption will be allowed at present. In these districts, on the basis of the daily corona report of the Health Department, if the total number of active cases of corona infection is less than 600, then the exemption from partial corona curfew will be automatically implemented in these districts also.
