DRI seizes 283 kg heroin in Mumbai

Mumbai: DRI has seized 283 kg heroin in Mumbai. These drugs were brought from Iran to Mumbai via sea. The consignment of heroin brought to Mumbai was about to go to Punjab, but it was caught at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Navi Mumbai. According to the DRI, the value of seized heroin in the international market is Rs 2000 crore.

Officials said that a person named Prabhjit Singh, a resident of Tarn Taran, Punjab, has been arrested in this case. Simultaneously, two more accused have been arrested from Madhya Pradesh.

According to the DRI, the seized heroin was brought hidden in two containers with talcum stones, but the DRI caught sight of it. The arrested accused are being interrogated.
