Irrfan, Rishi Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput to be honoured by Indian Film Festival of Melbourne

Late Bollywood actors Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput will be acknowledged for their contribution to Indian cinema at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.

The initiative will screen Irrfan’s Song of Scorpion, Rishi’s 102 Not Out and Sushant’s Kedarnath in its festival’s tribute section.

Mitu Bhowmick Lange said in a statement to the media that it was important to celebrate the memory of the artists who live on through their legacy.

Hence, the festival organizers have selected some great films of the late actors to celebrate the magic of their movies as they will continue to entertain generations further.

Rishi’s 102 Not Out featured Amitabh Bachchan as his father. Sushant’s Kedarnath was directed by Abhishek Kapoor and launched Sara Ali Khan’s career in Bollywood. Song of Scorpion had Irrfan collaborate with his Qissa director Anup Singh and also featured Golshifteh Farahani.

Irrfan died on April 29 due to neuroendocrine tumour. Rishi died a day after on April 30 due to cancer and Sushant died at his home on June 14.
