Sasural Simar Ka 2 is aired on a Colors TV channel in the evening slot. It is a story of Simar who tries her best to ensure that her Sasural is always protected from all the wrong-doers. The serial introduces us to Simar who is shy and soft-spoken. In a turn of events, she gets married to Arav Oswal who was supposed to be the groom of her sister Reema. While Reema ran away from her marriage to Arav as she was tricked to follow her dream of becoming a beauty pageant winner, Simar gets married to Arav without him knowing about it.

This incident angers the head of the Oswal family Geetanjali Devi so much that she manipulates Arav to divorce Simar to protect her name in society. Her ego doesn’t get the satisfaction so she tortures Simar’s father to a great extent by entangling him in police and court cases. Simar tries her best to convince her Badi Maa to leave her pride for a while and let her maternal family members live peacefully.

But Badi Maa is, after all, Geetanjali Devi who wants to maintain her status in the eyes of society so she decides to get Vivaan married off to a girl from a renowned family but Reema has ambitious plans so she traps Vivaan in her love and they both get married. This angers Badi Maa so much that she now takes her gun to shoot off both Vivaan and Reema but gets stopped by her sons and other family members.
Now in the recent episodes, they show how Badi Maa tries to get her granddaughter married off to a rich family guy but that too gets stopped as the guy seems to be a villain with a loose character.
