Earlier in October 2020, social media giant Facebook has launched its Instagram and Messenger cross-messaging feature for users of both Android and iOS platforms.
The initiative is to merge the messaging platforms such as Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.
If you are not informed about how to go ahead with the amazing feature, then follow the below steps.
On Instagram app:
- Click on Settings page.
- Click on ‘Privacy’ option.
- Click on ‘Messages’ option. In this option, you can device the folder in which you will receive message requests to, in case you are open to receiving messages.
- You will be given three choices and you can choose any one:
- Facebook Friends or People You’ve Chatted With on Messenger — Chats, Message Requests and Don’t Receive Requests
- People with Your Phone number — Chats, Message Requests and Don’t Receive Requests
- Other on Facebook — Chats, Message Requests and Don’t Receive Requests
On Facebook Messenger app:
Just follow similar steps of 1 and 2 points from the above.
- Click on ‘Message delivery’.
- You will be given three choices and you can select any one:
-Accounts You Follow or Have Chatted With on Instagram — Chats, Message Requests and Don’t Receive Requests
-Your Followers on Instagram — Chats, Message Requests and Don’t Receive Requests
-Others on Instagram — Chats, Message Requests and Don’t Receive Requests
