WhatsApp to introduce desktop app support to make voice, video calls

WhatsApp may be coming up with a new feature that will support users to make voice and video calls from its desktop app.

WhatsApp has desktop and web apps but with limited features as compared to its mobile app.

As per a user who shared on Twitter about the new buttons for voice and video calls on WhatsApp, the features are being tested and are expected to enter the desktop app in the coming time.

Although there is no official announcement from the company yet, there was a report which claimed that the video and voice calls feature on the desktop app will soon be visible on top just next to the contact person’s name.

So, we can expect a feature on WhatsApp Web, which will allow users to make a voice or video call along with group video and voice calls soon.

It is estimated that users will get a small window pop up with the user’s name, profile picture on WhatsApp Web along with buttons to end the call, switch to audio or video call, and even mute the call.

This would be really an interesting update for WhatsApp Web and its desktop app as it would help many users to just make quick group calls or voice calls or video calls instead of waiting to schedule a time to hold online meetings or calls on the web.

For the unaware, WhatsApp Web or desktop app of WhatsApp allows users to quickly and send receive messages on the app right from a laptop or computer.
