New Delhi: The number of deaths from Covid-19 in the country rose to 519 on Sunday while the cases of infection increased to 16,116. According to data from the Union Ministry of Health, 31 patients died of corona virus in the last 24 hours and 1,324 new cases of infection have been reported. According to the ministry, 13,295 patients infected with Covid-19 are under treatment in the country, while 2,301 people have been discharged from hospital after treatment. One of them has gone abroad.

77 foreign nationals are also among those who recover. Since Saturday evening, 31 people have died. These include 10 each from Maharashtra and Gujarat, three each from Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, two from West Bengal and one each from Delhi, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. So far Maharashtra has recorded the highest number of 211 deaths due to infection in a total of 519 deaths. After that, 70 people died in Madhya Pradesh, 58 in Gujarat, 43 in Delhi and 18 in Telangana.

Death toll has reached 17 in Uttar Pradesh, 16 in Punjab, 15-15 in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, 14 in Karnataka, 12 in West Bengal and 11 in Rajasthan. Apart from this, five people lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir while three deaths occurred in Kerala and Haryana. There have been two deaths each in Jharkhand and Bihar. According to the updated data of the Ministry of Health in the morning, one person died in Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Assam due to this infection.
