New Delhi: Despite millions of efforts of the central and state governments, the outbreak does not seem to stop. Corona patients have crossed 52 lakhs in the country. Meanwhile, 96,424 new cases of corona were reported in the country during the last 24 hours. This information has been provided by the Union Ministry of Health.
According to data released on Wednesday morning by the Union Health Ministry, 1174 patients have died in the last 24 hours. So far, 5214,678 cases have been reported, of which 10,17,754 are active cases and 41,12,552 lakh have been cured, who have been discharged from hospitals. At the same time, 84,372 patients have died.
Health Minister Harshvardhan said that covid-19 death rate in the country is currently the lowest (1.64) percent compared to other countries in the world and the government aims to reduce this death rate to less than one percent.
