New Delhi: On the second day of corona vaccination, more than 17000 people have been vaccinated in 6 states. On the second day of the Covid vaccination campaign, the Health Ministry gave this information on Sunday. A total of 553 vaccination sites were vaccinated. Till date, a total of 224301 people have been vaccinated. Health Ministry officials said that a total of 447 cases of problems (AEFI) were reported after vaccination in two days.

Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Manohar Agnani said that we had been requested by all the states to schedule a vaccination program 4 days a week. States have also campaigned about this. On Sunday, the vaccination program took place in only 6 states. The Health Ministry said that 4 days vaccination campaign is going on in most states. Some are taking 5 days and in some even 2 to 3 days. Vaccination programs were held on Sunday in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur and Tamil Nadu.

India has rolled out two coronavirus vaccines — Covishield and Covaxin. Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the citizens not to pay heed to rumours about the vaccine since experts have given emergency approval following scientific rigour. He said India had a great track record in vaccine production and that 60 per cent of children of the world get vaccines made in India.
