Amritsar: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has ordered the closure of all schools and colleges till 31 March due to the increasing cases of Corona. All the programs of the Punjab Congress have been postponed for two weeks, while the Aam Aadmi Party’s Arvind Kejriwal’s rally on Saturday has also been asked by the government to cancel it. An appeal has been made by the government that if Kejriwal wants the interest of Punjab, then he can cancel this rally. On the other hand, the Shiromani Akali Dal has canceled all its rallies.

Due to the increasing cases of Corona, the government has decided to make government procurement of wheat in the mandis from April 10 instead of April 1. The corona report of the Corona-infected Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal came back positive. On Thursday, Badal is undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon, while his father Parkash Singh Badal’s report has come negative. The report of three employees working at his residence in Badal village came out positive.

In the last 48 hours, the situation has become more serious after the confirmation of more than 4 thousand infected people in Punjab. Maximum 8 deaths occurred in Hoshiarpur. In the last one week, 210 patients have been lost, while 11918 patients have been infected. The total number of infected in the state has increased to 204822. There are 14248 patients undergoing treatment in the state. Jalandhar has the highest number of 463 new cases, the highest number of cases found in 1 day so far. So far, the number of cured patients has increased to 184848.
