Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today reviewed Covid-19 at his government residence. He said that adequate number of beds should be ensured in Covid hospitals. Ambulance services should be run smoothly. He said that in case of any laxity or negligence regarding the availability of ambulance and beds to the Covid infected patients, strict action will be taken by fixing the accountability against the concerned. He directed to pay special attention in the districts of Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar.
The Chief Minister directed to immediately increase the number of beds for patients infected with Covid-19 at SGPGI, KGMGU and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. He said that these institutions should ensure their preparedness in view of Covid infection. Apart from this, all the arrangements for prevention and treatment should be made in the districts where there has been an increase in Covid-19 infection. He said that if any negligence is found in this work, accountability will be fixed.
Directing the ambulance services to be kept fit in respect of Covid-19, the Chief Minister said that there should not be any reduction in the number of ambulances. No patient has to wait for an ambulance. He said that arrangements for treatment of Covid infected patients should be ensured. The District Magistrate, Chief Medical Officer and the concerned officers of the Health Department should take action with full caution and vigilance. There should not be any kind of laxity in it.
