Around 1500 personnel of Delhi police force have tested covid positive in second wave

New Delhi: 1500 Delhi Police personnel serving as frontline workers in fighting the Corona epidemic have been found infected in the second wave of Corona infection. Delhi Police gave information about this on Thursday. Delhi Police has also decided that no police personnel above the age of 58 years will be put in field duty.

In view of the proliferation of Covid, an order issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police stated that police personnel aged 58 years and above will not be put in field duty. These employees will be posted in police headquarters or police offices only. It has been said in the order that everyone has to follow it till a new order regarding field duty is issued.

The Delhi Police is engaged in setting up three covid care centers in different areas of Delhi for its jawans and their families. Delhi Police Commissioner S.N. Srivastava said on Wednesday by tweeting, Delhi Police with the help of Hamdard Foundation and Seva Bharti are setting up three Kovid Care Centers in Shahdara, Rohini and Dwarka for their jawans and their families.
