Lucknow: Senior Samajwadi Party leader and MP from Rampur Azam Khan has been found to be Corona positive. Azam, who was lodged in Sitapur Jail since February last year, received a positive RT PCR report on Friday, after which he continues to be treated in the jail’s own hospital. It has been said that all arrangements have been made on behalf of the jail administration for their better treatment.
According to jailor RS Yadav, Azam’s RTPCR investigation was conducted after Azam’s antigen report came positive on Thursday, which came positive on Friday night. He has told that Azam’s situation is stable and he is being given all the facilities. It has been learned that Azam Khan had a cold for a few days. Only after that his covid test was done by the jail administration and he got infected.
It is being told that Azam was also on fast for the last few days, but because his health started deteriorating, he has not kept fast for the treatment. The news has also been received that the Covid report of Azam’s son Abdullah, who also is in Sitapur Jail, has come negative. But along with Azam, 13 more inmates in jail have also become victims of Corona. His report has been said to be positive.
