Eesha Agarwal, who was Miss Beauty Top of the World 2019, had to face the casting couch after appearing in the film career. She has appeared in Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Kapoor starrer Kahin Hai Mera Pyaar and Tamil movie ‘Thittivasal’.
In an interview to an entertainment portal, Eesha told her experience on the casting couch. She said- ‘The journey to entertainment was not easy. Coming from a small city like Latur, making a name in Mumbai is nothing short of a challenge. First of all, if you come from a small town, then people do not approve of the idea of doing your work in showbiz. Somehow I explained to my parents. After finishing my studies, I reached Mumbai and started searching for auditions. ‘
Regarding casting couch, Eesha further said- ‘Casting couch is still a reality today. When I was brand new in Mumbai, a person of identity known for casting called me in his office. When I arrived there with my sister, he said that he has cast a lot of big actors and they will give me a good project too.
Then suddenly he asked me to take off clothes so that he could see my body. I rejected the offer and left the office with my sister. Even after this, he kept messaging me for several days, but then I blocked him.
Eesha Aggarwal has also advised other people coming to Mumbai with big dreams not to fall into this kind of trap. She says- ‘There are many people who claim to be a big casting company, avoid them. They will try to lure you with their exciting movie offers and compromised terms, never get caught in them ‘.
