Corona curfew removed from four more districts of UP

Lucknow: Corona curfew has been lifted from all districts except Lucknow, Meerut, Saharanpur and Gorakhpur. The active cases in these 4 districts are more than 600, this information has been given by Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal.

Shri Sehgal said that in view of the decreasing infection rate of corona, a standard of 600 active cases has been set to keep the corona curfew effective in the districts. So far 67 districts have been exempted from corona curfew, while according to the updated status, the total number of active patients in the districts of Varanasi, Gautam Budh Nagar, Muzaffarnagar and Ghaziabad has come down to less than 600. In such a situation, from Monday, these districts will also be exempted from corona curfew from 07 am to 07 pm for five days a week.

All other related rules including weekly and night closure will be applicable in these districts. The situation of Meerut, Lucknow, Saharanpur and Gorakhpur districts should be continuously monitored. It would be appropriate to consider these districts on Tuesday.

Shri Sehgal said that the condition of the state is getting better with every day in view of the corona pandemic. Cases have come in single digit in our 36 districts. The total active cases have come down to 17,900. 10,141 people are under treatment in home isolation. We have to understand that the virus has weakened, not gone. A little carelessness can cost a lot. It is everyone’s responsibility to follow the corona protocol.
