New Delhi: The Delta Plus variant of Coronavirus is currently not a cause of concern for the World Health Organization. Chief Scientist Dr Soumya Swaminathan said this to a TV channel on Thursday.
She said that at present the number of people infected with this type of virus is very less. She also said there was no rationale for some countries blocking Covidshield from their vaccine passport program, which would allow hassle-free travel during the pandemic.
Dr Swaminathan said it was mostly done on technicalities as the AstraZeneca vaccine is available under a different brand in Europe.
