LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to effectively continue the arrangements for prevention and treatment of Covid-19 in accordance with the policy of ‘Trace, Test and Treat’. He said that corona infection is under controlled condition in the state, but corona virus has not ended. Therefore, full vigilance and caution should be taken regarding prevention of infection.

The Chief Minister was reviewing the situation of Covid-19 in the state in a high level meeting convened at Lok Bhawan here today. In the meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised that in the last 24 hours, 165 new cases of corona infection have come to light in the state. In the same period, 292 infected persons were successfully treated and discharged. At present, the number of active cases of infection is 2,796.

The Chief Minister said that the corona virus has weakened but not ended. Therefore, it is necessary to take utmost care at every level. Even a little carelessness can cost a lot. He said that patients infected with the new variant of Corona virus ‘Delta Plus’ are being found in many states. According to experts, the intensity of infection of this variant is higher than other forms of the virus. In view of this, extra caution should be taken. All necessary steps should be taken as per the advice of experts.
