New Delhi: The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a warning regarding the mixing and matching of the Covid-19 vaccine. WHO says that no vaccine should be mixed and dosed right now, it can be dangerous.
On Monday, the organization’s chief scientist Dr Soumya Swaminathan warned that it is a dangerous trend to use vaccines made by different companies in the first and second doses. It has been clarified by the World Health Organization that what are the consequences of this mixing, at present no data is available about it.
Actually, this method of mixing and matching vaccines of different companies is done to increase immunity. Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sputnik, two doses of all these vaccines are being given. The time interval between vaccine doses is different for all companies. Only one dose of Sputnik V Lite and Johnson & Johnson vaccines is being given.
