Despite taking all measures, actor Chiranjeevi announced on Twitter on Wednesday that he had tested positive for the new coronavirus with minor symptoms. He went on to say that he is currently quarantining himself at home.

“Dear all, Despite all measures, I tested positive for Covid-19 last night with little symptoms and am quarantining at home. I’m requesting that everyone who has come into contact with me in the last few days get tested as well. Can’t wait to see you guys back soon,” Chiranjeevi tweeted.
Chiranjeevi is currently awaiting the release of Koratala Siva’s film Acharya, in which he is said to have performed two roles. Ram Charan plays a pivotal role in the film.
According to rumours, Acharya would tell the story of a middle-aged Naxalite-turned-social reformer who takes on the Endowments Department over mismanagement and embezzlement of temple funds and donations.

The film was supposed to be Trisha’s comeback to Telugu cinema after a long absence. However, due to artistic differences, she pulled out of the project. Kajal Aggarwal eventually took her spot. Pooja Hegde works as a co-stars with Ram Charan in the film.
