Beijing: The death due to corona virus in China has crossed 1800. Hubei reported 1,807 new confirmed cases, the total number of such cases being 59,989. There were 1,432 new suspected cases from the rest of China.
The Commission said that 1,097 patients became seriously ill on Monday and 11,741 patients are in critical condition. Of the 41,957 hospitalized patients in Hubei, 9,117 are in critical condition and 1,853 are in critical condition, reported Xinhua.
In Hubei, 1,223 patients were discharged from hospital after recovery on Monday, leaving a total of 7,862 patients in the province. China said that a total of 12,552 people have so far been discharged from hospital in China.
According to the information, in view of the human-to-human infection of the disease, more than 1.41 lakh people exposed to the virus affected people are still under medical observation.
As of Monday, 60 confirmed cases had been registered, including one death in Hong Kong, 10 confirmed in Macau and 22 including one death in Taiwan.
Top experts from the World Health Organization have joined the fight against the virus called COVID-19 from China. China confirmed that the 12-member WHO team included Americans, as demanded by the US.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told the media, “Foreign experts of the China-WHO joint mission have arrived in Beijing. They have started relevant activities. We have experts from the US in the mission.”
