The number of people who died of the corona virus in Iran has risen to 54. Health Ministry spokesman Kianosh Jahanpore said on Sunday that 385 more new cases of infection have been reported. The number of cases of infection with the disease has reached 978 in the country.

He said that new cases have been confirmed in many cities including Mashhad. The spokesperson has reported the highest number of infections in the Gilan region after the capital Tehran. Significantly, after the introduction of this virus in China, more than 86 thousand people have been infected worldwide and more than 2,900 people have died.
