Those making the necessary medical equipment made serious allegations against the central government
New Delhi: Corona infection is increasing rapidly in the country. All doctors and paramedics across the country are engaged in treating people. But there is a shortage of N-95 masks, personal protective kits and sanitizers for the team involved in the rescue of Corona virus.
Given the increasing number of patients, more kits and masks are needed. Meanwhile, those making medical equipment necessary to fight Corona have made serious allegations against the central government. These people say that the government has given late permission to make necessary medical equipment to fight this epidemic, due to which the country lost five weeks.
At a time when health workers are repeatedly worrying about the lack of personal protective equipment (PPE kit), questions are being raised on the government whether the Modi government has handled this aspect of health crisis properly. According to the report, President of the Preventive Wear Manufacturers Association of India (PWMAI) said that the main reason for the lack of PPE is the government’s late response.
Sanjeev and other manufacturers of PPE say they approached the Health Ministry in February and urged the government to stock PPE kits. But then the Health Ministry said that they had not received any response from the Center in this matter. Sanjeev said that we did not get any mail from the government till March 21. Had the government provided the reply or specification of the mail by 21 February, we would have made adequate arrangements for PPE kits by now. Sanjeev further said, “Tenders started coming from state governments, army hospitals, railway hospitals from about 5 to 8 March.
Explain that 50-60 personal protective kits and 70-80 N-95 masks are required daily for the staff engaged in treatment of corona virus.
