New Delhi: Due to the lockdown, migrant laborers, students and tourists stranded in different parts of the country will be able to go to their homes. The guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs in this regard came into force on Wednesday itself. The Ministry, while reviewing the status of the Covid-19 epidemic, also said that from May 4, a substantial relaxation in lockdown can be done in many districts. New guidelines in this regard will be issued later. It is believed that the government can give relaxation in areas with green zone from Monday.
In the guidelines released on Wednesday, the ministry said that state governments will take people by bus. States and Union Territories will nominate nodal authorities for this work and these authorities will register the people stranded here. In the states between which there is movement of people, the authorities there will contact each other and ensure the movement of people through the road.
In the new guidelines, the Ministry of Home Affairs has allowed states to carry these stranded people with certain conditions. According to the guideline, the state government will take people by bus. Before the bus runs, it will be completely sanitized and people will have to take care of social distancing while boarding the bus. After arriving at the destination, the health of the people will be assessed and screened by the local health authorities and placed in the quarantine.
