Saumya Swaminathan said during a media interaction, “I think AstraZeneca definitely has a more global scope to deal with Corona where they are planning their vaccine trials”. The CEO of the British drug maker told Belgian radio station Bell RTL this month that AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine developed by researchers at the University of Oxford would likely provide protection against the disease.
