Bharat Biotech starts human trials of Covid vaccine

New Delhi: Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij has tweeted that Bharat Biotech started testing its covid-19 anti-vaccine covaxin on humans at PGIMS in Rohtak on Friday. Vij is also the Minister of Home and Science and Technology of Haryana. He said, “Bharat Biotech’s corona virus vaccine (covaxin) testing on humans started today at PGI Rohtak.”

Vij wrote in his tweet, “Today three people have been registered. There was no adverse effect of the vaccine on anyone. “Bharat Biotech had recently received the approval of the country’s drug regulator to start a clinical trial of its anti-corona virus vaccine covaxin. Seven vaccines for the prevention of corona virus are currently in various stages of development in the country, two of which have been approved to start clinical trials on humans.
