DGCI approves Zydus Cadila’s ‘Virafine’

New Delhi: The Drugs Controller General of India has approved the use of another injection for the treatment of corona infections. On Friday, DGCI approved the use of Zydus Cadilla’s Pegylated Interferon Alpha-2b, Virafine, in the treatment of adult corona infections.

This injection made by Zydus Cadila was previously used for liver disease Hepatitis B. Its full name is Pegylated Interferon Alpha-2b. After growing cases of corona, it is now decided to use it against the corona virus. For this, testing has been done at 25 centers across the country.
