At Hyderabad’s Hussain Sagar Lake, tourists will see a new attraction, i.e., two 80-seater eco-friendly cruises.
According to the latest reports published by a Telangana-based news website, Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud has announced that these high-tech eco-friendly cruises will have zero-emission and electric twin inboard motors propulsions.
The cruise ships will have two floors, and tourists can book the cruise for hosting events such as parties. They will be launched around June 2021. News has it that the Telangana government is trying to launch solar and electric boats in water bodies across the region.
The objective behind all these things is to boost tourism in the state.
The Hussain Sagar is a heart-shaped lake in Hyderabad made in the year 1563. It is fed by the river Musi and covers a massive area of 5.7 km. A giant monolithic statue of Gautam Buddha stands in the middle of the lake.
