Jagadanandapur (Burdwan): BJP president Jagat Prasad Nadda on Saturday said the budgetary allocation for agriculture in India has increased six times under the Narendra Modi government to Rs 1,34,000 crore from Rs 22,000 crore in 2013/14, and slammed the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal for depriving the farmers from having benefit of Rs 6000 under Krishak Bidhi Sambal and Rs 5 lakh life insurance under Ausman Bharat.
Launching the Krishak Suraksha Abhiyan in this district, known as the rice bowl of Bengal, Mr Nadda, however, assured the people that the BJP would implement all the central schemes once it came to power in “May 2021”
Mr Nadda was critical of a recent letter written by chief minister Mamata Banejree to PM Modi requesting to extend centrally initiated welfare schemes for the farmers and added that it was too late now. ” We will implement all the central schemes for the farmers as the people have vowed to vote for BJP and drive out the Mamata Banerjee government in May ( 2021),” Mr Nadda said amid cheers from the people.
