Negative RT-PCR report no more compulsory for train travel

As per a new report, the Indian Railways is planning to introduce some changes for traveling in trains. People who are fully vaccinated now no need to have a negative RT-PCR report to book tickets to travel in trains. Earlier, the negative RT-PCR report was made compulsory for passengers who were opting to travel through trains in the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

A train traveler can show his vaccination certificate that can be accessed on the Aarogya Setu app instead of the negative RT-PCR report. Due to rising cases of coronavirus in some states, the Railways had introduced this step of the negative report before traveling to some states in India.

The officials think that vaccination certificate as proof to be allowed travel in the train to other states can be an encouraging step for others who are still hesitant to take vaccine due to rumors and uncertain thoughts in their minds about the effectiveness of the vaccine against the coronavirus disease.

Vaccines against COVID-19 have been developed in India to ensure that people get both the doses of the vaccine of either Covishield or Covaxin and stay protected from the coronavirus’s long-term effects that can impact the body negatively in some of the other forms. The infection of the virus is not good for health and taking vaccines can help the travelers to move around to different places along with wearing masks, washing hands with sanitizer or soap water, and maintaining social distancing. Vaccines are said to provide the immunity that is needed to fight against coronavirus disease.

Soon, the airport authorities are also going to take a final call on allowing passengers to travel by airplanes who are fully vaccinated and such people need not produce negative RT-PCR tests. Let’s see how India tackles the current second wave of coronavirus disease and triumphs against the virus by slowly and eventually opening up economically as well.
