New Delhi: The Foreign Ministry of India has responded to this after the disputed political map was passed in the special session of the Parliament of Nepal. The Ministry of External Affairs states that the House of Representatives of Nepal has passed a Constitution Amendment Bill to change the map of Nepal to include parts of the Indian territory. We have already clarified our position on this matter. The Ministry of External Affairs has stated that Nepal’s claims are not based on historical facts or evidence, nor does it make any sense.
On Saturday (June 13) in a special session of the Parliament of Nepal, the government has passed the important constitutional amendment bill related to modifying the political map of the country. This new map covers strategic areas like Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura along the Indian border. India dismissed it on 20 May, calling it an unfair map claim.
