New Delhi: Tensions continue between India and China over LAC. Meanwhile, the central government reviewed the road projects going on along the Indo-China border on Monday. The government has decided to expedite the work of 32 projects in the current project and has directed all concerned agencies to support fast track projects.
The meeting convened by the Home Ministry was attended by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), the Border Roads Organization (BRO) and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) among others. An official of the meeting said that work on 32 road projects along the border with China will be done soon and all the concerned agencies will extend their cooperation to the fast track projects. The move has been taken at a time when there is a confrontation between the Indian Army and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China in the Ladakh sector.
