PM Modi reaches Leh to take stock of the situation on ground

New Delhi: Amid the border tension between India & China, PM Narendra Modi reaches Leh along with CDS General Bipin Rawat to take stock of the situation on ground. PM Modi is presently at one of the forward locations in Nimu, Ladakh. He reached there early morning & is interacting with personnel of Army, Air Force & ITBP. The region is located at 11,000 feet, surrounded by Zanskar range on the Indus banks.

According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, at present, PM Modi is at a forward location of Neemu. He reached here in the early morning. This place is situated at an altitude of 11,000. This area is on the banks of the Sindh River and is a very inaccessible place surrounded by the Zanskar Range. A picture of this visit has also been shared with PM Modi’s Instagram account.

Let me tell you that just before this, there was news of CDS Bipin Rawat going to Leh. It is known that Bipin Rawat will hold a meeting with army officers in the core headquarters in Ladakh. At the same time, it was also reported a day ago that on Friday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is also scheduled to go to Ladakh, but his program has been pushed forward.

The Prime Minister will also interact with troops and meet the injured soldiers at the military hospital, in what will be a morale booster for the forces.
